My Travel Experience in San Juan, Puerto Rico

Hello fam!

To kick off my first post back, I decided to catch you up on one of the best trips I’ve ever been on. Recently, I went to PR with my fiancé to celebrate my cousin’s nuptials to his lovely wife. I was able to explore the city of Old San Juan, swim to flamingo beach, and just celebrate LOVE.

Let’s start off by discussing the place we stayed at.

Hotel El Convento - This hotel was totally worth the price. It was nice waking up in Old San Juan, PR. We were able to get up early, walk around the city, and explore the fort. The hotel had amazing views of brick buildings, the room service wasn’t half bad, and the room literally looked like we stepped into a old PR film.

We stayed at Hotel El Convento for about four nights and stayed at an airbnb by the beach for the last three nights. I don’t have details on the AirBNB we stayed at, but it was nice. It had eight rooms, four bathrooms, and lots of space. The only con was the common areas weren’t heavily ventilated and the beds weren’t as comfy.

We can’t talk about PR without talking about the FOOD.

Here are a couple of places we ate at that were too die for.

Ambrosia - This was the first place we stopped at. It had amazing authentic Puerto Rican food options and the food was so inexpensive and filling. I had the fish tacos and was raving about them the entire trip.

Coffeeteria - This was by far the best breakfast spot in PR. I had the pancakes and the french toast, both were so delicious. It was the cutest coffee shop and had esthetically pleasing.

BTW, I did eat a lot of other places but as I am writing this post. i can’t think of the names of the other places. I’ll make sure to insert them in the comments below for anyone looking for options on their own trip to PR.

The food was BOMB and the hotel was BOMB. I would say a trip well done. If I say so myself.

We also were able to go on excursion and I actually got into the water this time. We went snorkeling, swam to flamingo beach, and overall had some much needed family time.

I wasn't able to vlog for two reasons, the speaker on my phone was trash and I wanted to enjoy this vacation with no vlogging obligations. I will be vlogging my next trip, so be on the lookout for future travel vlogs.

Lastly, we can’t forget to highlight the main reason we were there and that was to celebrate my cousin’s nuptial.

Their wedding was unique, different, and had splash of that African and PR spice.

I had the best time in PR and I can’t wait to go on my next destination trip.

Where do you think I should go next?
